I am Janne H\u00e4m\u00e4l\u00e4inen, a second generation craftsman and creative professional. I started making things by hand at an early age. I knew how to use a scissors and a sewing machine even before I went to school, thanks to my mother, who was a textile handicraft teacher. When I was less than ten years old, I got my first knife, which I used to learn how carv e.g. willow pipes. The Corona period restored my interest in handicrafts and I became enthusiastic again about leatherwork and knife making. <\/p>\n\n
I have been an entrepreneur alongside my work for twenty years. NORDICVIEW.COM, originally started as a photography company, was launched in early 2005. Hukka Arts & Crafts will again become a subsidiary name in 2020.<\/p>\n\n
My products mainly consist of various key rings, but also outdoor and camping accessories. These include different types of fastening straps, which I make from both leather and textile straps. I plan to produce other accessories for backpacks\/backpacks. My products are designed for reliability and ease of use, whether you’re travelling, camping, staying in a hotel or a tent. Quality is at the heart of everything I do and the price is reasonable.<\/p>\n\n
I make my products from the highest quality materials possible. The leather comes mainly from Italy, home to the world’s best leather companies. I use domestic leather when necessary and possible. All materials are sourced either in Finland or from companies in the EU. I also try to ensure that as many of the materials as possible are also produced in the EU.<\/p>\n\n
